Safeguarding

The Tilford Bach Festival (“TBF”) have an approach to safeguarding commensurate with its size and scope. We are run largely by unpaid volunteers, many of whom help out ad hoc at the time of the annual Festival. This being the case, our Safeguarding policy is as follows:

  • Processes –

    • Mike Shorthose, the chairman of the Tilford Bach Society, is responsible for safeguarding. Any queries at the time of booking tickets for a performance should be directed to him via info@tilfordbachfestival.org.

    • Mike Shorthose will issue instructions to all those helping TBF concerning how to identify and contact himself and, if he cannot be contacted in a timely manner, other permanent members of the team to help, in the event of an issue during a performance.

  • Scope of safeguarding –

    • Children – children are admitted along with the parent(s) or those adults in loco parentis, who maintain responsibility for their care.

    • Vulnerable adults – we will respond to a need as detailed in section 1 above.

    • Performers and Helpers - we will respond to a need as described above.
